For the artist collective »RHO« I worked on the editorial design, layout and typography of a catalogue documenting a series of site-specific installations. The publication brings together exhibition texts, floor plans, image sequences and a longer essay by Michael Stockhausen, whose text reflects on the collective’s working methods and the physical impact of their spatial interventions.

The design follows two contrasting principles. The presentation of the individual installations is structured in a documentary way, using a clear grid to make locations, dates, plans, images and bilingual descriptions accessible. In the central essay section, the layout becomes more atmospheric and breaks away from this technical structure. Large-format photographs, typographic fragments and a calligraphic display typeface create a more emotional reading experience and mirror the bodily, spatial and sensory qualities of RHO’s work.

Rather than treating the catalogue as a neutral archive, the publication shifts between documentation and experience. It translates installations built around light, darkness, sound, heat and physical perception into an editorial rhythm that allows the reader to move between clarity, immersion and visual interruption.
